Processing Steps

01

Salt Mining

Chamber and pillar is a type of underground mining that involves excavating chambers and leaving pillars to support the roof. It’s used in shallow mineral deposits (e.g. coal) for worker safety and mine stability. The method originated in the early 19th century and has been used in coal and salt mines.

02

Raw Material Storage

Salt is extracted and transported to a processing facility where it is cleaned and sorted, then stored in large containers until it is ready to be shipped to its final destination, often in durable, moisture-resistant packaging labeled with relevant information.

03

Raw Material - Quality Control

Salt is a natural product extracted from underground or seawater and may contain impurities. Quality control procedures such as sampling, crushing, washing, drying, packaging, testing, and labeling are used to ensure quality and purity. The refining process can vary based on the type of salt and intended application and may include additional chemical or physical processes like evaporating water or centrifuging.

04

Washing

Large salt items are cleaned and polished in a machine using water. This method maintains the salt’s natural state and integrity, setting the company apart in the Himalayan salt industry. The extra step ensures the purity and quality of the salt, offering customers a high-calibre product.

05

Drying

To maintain purity and quality, salt is dried in an oven with hot, dry air to prevent exposure to moisture. The salt is left in the oven for 5-6 hours until fully dry, making the method time-efficient and weatherproof and protecting it from environmental pollution. This ensures customers receive high-quality salt that meets their expectations.

06

Crushing Plant

Crushing is an important step in salt mining as it reduces large chunks of rock salt into smaller pieces. Salt is extracted from mines using underground mining or solution mining methods. In underground mining, salt is extracted using drilling and blasting, then crushed with a crusher into pieces 1/4 inch to 1 inch. In solution mining, water is injected into a salt deposit, the dissolved salt is brought to the surface and evaporated, leaving pure salt, which is then crushed like in underground mining.

07

Sieving with different Meshes

Our factory can grind large salt pieces into smaller sizes to meet customer requirements using a custom-made sieve, producing a range of mesh sizes to match customer needs. This level of customization sets us apart from other companies and meets unique customer requirements.

08

Non Metallic Particle Separation

Salt is filtered for foreign particles in a separator after being ground to desired size. Quality control checks for impurities to ensure only pure, high-quality salt is delivered to customers, meeting their high standards.

09

Metallic Particle Seperation

The salt is tested using a metal detector to ensure it is free of foreign objects, including iron. This step helps maintain the purity and quality of the salt. The metal detector testing helps deliver a high-quality salt product that meets customer standards.

10

Finished Good Quality Control

The salt is checked for impurities after being dried as part of our quality control process. The control center ensures the salt’s high quality by monitoring and checking it at various stages of production. This leads to a product customers can trust.

11

Laboratory Testing

Our lab performs quality assurance tests on the salt to ensure it meets standards for parameters such as sodium chloride, calcium/magnesium, sulphate, moisture, water solubility, particle size, and iodine content. This helps ensure the salt we provide is of high quality and meets customer expectations.

12

Packaging, Wrapping

Salt is packaged in bags and checked for quality by our quality team to ensure it meets high standards and is protected from moisture and contaminants. The company’s commitment to quality involves the quality team at every stage from raw materials to finished product.

13

Storage in Warehousing and delivery

The salt produced in the facility is stored in the warehouse and shipped to its final destination using advanced technology, experienced experts, and strict food safety and quality principles. Raw salt is transported from mines to processing plants in Pakistan, where it undergoes further processing and packaging using patented methods to produce a high-quality product that customers can trust.
